CrumsOnTheTable spent twenty-five years in the US Air Force traveling the world. He served tours in California, Florida, Georgia, Spain, South Korea, Cyprus, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Germany. While in Germany, he accepted a challenge to write lyrics for a song. A few years later, he was writing song lyrics for soap operas, including The Young and the Restless, All My Children, and One Life to Live, and a few prime-time television shows. Writing lyrics for songs was the proving ground for achieving another milestone: writing thousands of words that would fill the pages of a book. One day he stepped into a bookstore in Topeka, Kansas and saw a purple book in the distance that captured his attention. He picked it up, thumbed through the short stories, and felt an impression in his spirit that said, “This is it! Short stories are what you will tell.” Years later, he continues to write short stories designed to inspire, uplift, and encourage readers to “Live…life is but a vapor!”
